Untried Nail Polish No.15

Two more to go!! We are now on CREME! Which I like to pronounce as crem. This is an older OPI, but is now officially my favorite ted. It’s deep and vampy while still being red enough to tell that it is indeed red. Reds, unfortunately, can go from classy to messy really quick if your application and clean up aren’t on the fleeks. Mine are not on the fleeks. I’ll make a post on how to do right by red polish since I’m obviously and expert.

This is OPI I’ve Got the Blues for Red. The perfect Adeep blue-based red. It goes great with my pale, cool skin. This was two coats with a coat of top coat. The formula is smooth and easy to use.

Basecoat is a must. I had some major staining, you can see it where I tried to clean up around the cuticles and it stained the actual nail. It took a little bit of scrubbing with remover to get the polish off the skin. I should have gone straight in with acetone, but I didn’t want to get up to wash my hands after I used it. #Lazygrrlproblems. My fingers start to burn a few seconds after I’ve used acetone so I generally try not to use it.

I’m really pleased with this polish. I’m sure if I had been sitting up to paint my nails on a flat surface things would have gone smoother. Yet, once again, despite knowing better I chose to paint them while laying in bed in the dark. We can’t always win them all.

Next up we have our final polish, “The Gift”. Technically all of my nail polishes are gifts besides my older ones so I can choose whatever I want!

May your manis be on the fleek with minimal clean up!

Untried Polish Challenge No.12

Prettiest! Okay, to be honest, I had no idea what I’d pick here. I have SO many duochromes and iridescents sitting in my unused box. Yes, I have an unused box… OMG, I just realized what I typed. I’m leaving it in. #truetho Lol, I’m dying. I’m way too easily amused. The box is meant to help me remember which ones I haven’t tried yet. It on the end of my bad because I don’t like having to get up to do my nails. Is that lazy?

I eventually picked A England’s Princess Tears and I’m so glad I did.

Princess Tears is a medium toned, silvered purple with a linear holo. For my swatch pictures, I did two thick coats. Though the first coat seemed a bit thin, it was easy enough to even things out with my second coat. The formula is great and easy to control. Clean up was quick and easy. Top coat is suggested with these kinds of polishes to really bring them to their full potential.

The polish speaks for itself. Look at that. It’s jaw dropping. I really did not want to take this manicure off at all, but I did it for you, reader. Dearest Reader.

I don’t have much else to say, I’m not feeling so great. My brain is working on “Hella Smard Level” which isn’t very smard at all. See ya for the next one when I shove my hands into a crematorium and sport a nice ashen gray for early spring!

Untried Polish Challenge No. 2 Two Colors

‘ello Gov’nas!

I’m currently in bed, in the middle of the night, spread eagle with the laptop on my tummy, and a paper plate with a partially eaten french bread pizza resting on my tatters (the plate is also secured under my chin to lessen tcrumbage). Thought I’d draw my tiny, but lovable audience a picture. Whatever you pictured in your mind’s eye is deffo probs 99.9998% correct. I am that work of art.

Okay! So today we have number two on the list which is “Two”. Neato. I had a lot of ideas for this one and planned on doing a gradient, then I realized “fuck that” and just did an interchanging jigger. I AM A NAIL ARTIST! THIS IS MY ART. I picked these two polishes from Zoya because they’ve been sitting in my stash and I had yet to touch them yet despite how gorgina they are.

Here we have Zoya’s Aurora (purp) and Dream (blue).

They are both more jelly formulas with scattered holographic glitters. They were both super easy to use and took two coats. The formulas are basically the same, although, Aurora did seem a bit thinner. That could have been user error though as I was having trouble painting my nails this day. I didn’t use base coat and did have a tiny bit of staining from them, but I stain from everything

Oh. That’s an awful swatch photo. Good job, loser. I’m so sorry these are awful. Out of 20 pictures, these 2 were the best due to hand tremors. It was just one of those days, but the slightly out of focus effect kind of shows the holo better… Maybe! We can pretend.

I honestly don’t have much to say about these. They’re really pretty, easy to use, and just all around good stuff. Zoya is one of, if not, my favorite brand and it’s pretty rare that I don’t like their polish. If you haven’t tried Zoya yet, you’re missing out. You should follow them on social media because they have THE best sales. They actually just came out with their Spring 2017 collection and I’ve got a serious case of grabby hands.

Note: Zoya is cruelty-free, vegan, AND 10-free.

Farewell and Godspeed!

PS: Some of these are going to be written earlier than they are posted. I plan on trying to get as many done as I can when I feel well enough, queue them to post later, and then hopefully it won’t look like I drop off the earth. I like blogs that post at a normal rate and I’d like do provide that same kind of deal for my followers.

Another FOTD from over the Holiday: Urban Decay Vice 3 + L’oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder

Picture 758
This was done pretty late at night, and though I loved the end result I can’t seem to remember everything I used. I also need to explain this window covering… It’s January. This house was built like 100 years ago in Great Falls, Virginia. (I don’t know if that is true, I literally just made that up… it could have just been a shitty builder for all I know, but I mean… there is really no excuse for putting a window in wrong after 1915 imo.) Also, their was loud noises and snoring. You will see that I became increasingly agitated in these pictures as we go along.
***I am a n00b and realize I need to start upclosing my eyeballs for these, will do, being honest this time!

Picture 769Picture 795 The rage set in and the photoshoot ended. Snoring enrages me, which is hilarious because I snore. My roommate’s base turned on blast is also really aggravating. If I can hear it at 1am with the sound in my earphones turned all the way up then wtf are you doin’? Have I mentioned this dude is about 60? Have I mentioned the sounds are of his Xbox One he only uses to watch TV?? Does this get any more horrible? I NEED that Xbox One, I’ll treat it right. …Oh, this is jealousy.

blogthing12My shirt though. Majestic as fuck. Bet you have no idea how old I am, and if you do….. DAMMIT. I’m 12 and if you question it, leave. 😦 JK, stay, I love you. I’m old and creepy. Let me touch your face.

I need to do something about my side-mullet. It does have a mini back mullet too though. Fancy fancy!!!

Smoochles and butt cuddles<3

Sorry I’ve Been MIA!

Here’s something to make up for it!

Anastasia Beverly Hills brand new liquid lipsticks are launching 1.7.2015!!!! Look at those mother effers in all their bootiful glory. I LOVE matte liquid lipsticks, they are by far my favorite lip product and I reeeally like lip products. Excitement and glee!! Pure Hollywood, Retro Coral, the purples, the dark reds… They are all calling my name. I was a little saddened by the price point since I feel like Anastasia tends to be a little bit lower priced than a lot of the other mid-range cosmetics, but $20 is actually pretty normal for these types of products. It’ll be interesting to see how much product you get since it can very so wildly between brands. I know that Kat Von D liquid lipstick has the best price per oz ratio (plus the best formula imo).
Am I forgiven now?

Christmas and stuff wore me out. I missed out on some family and friend stuff due to being ill, but got to do some other friend and family stuff regardless of not feeling my best. All in all it was a great holiday. I take any victories as a good time and the fact that I was able to leave the house for Christmas day was a huge victory.

Okay, so I need to start catching up on messages and everything else. I have lots and lots to post about, but will keep them to myself for now to be annoying mysterious. Be back soon!
